Day 1: Casablanca – Meknes
Depart Casablanca to Meknes in which you will discover the oldest part of the
city, the Medina, of Meknes. You will explore Lahdim Square,Moulay Ismail
Mausoleum, The Granary,Quara prison , and Bab al Mansour gate. You will explore
alleys. Stay over night in a traditional Riad.
Day 2: Meknes- Volubilis- Chefchaouen
After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to explore a historical place,
which is dated back to the Roman Empire, Volubilis. After crossing the Rif
mountains, you will reach Chefchaouen. Spend
the night in a typical guesthouse.
Day 3: Exploring Chefchaouen
After breakfast, you will explore the glorious Chefchaouen.
This beautiful town is attractive owing to its beautiful blue colored small
houses, narrow cobbled streets, and water springs. Stay overnight in
Chefchaouen.
Day 4:
Chefchaouen – Fez
This day you will go to the oldest city in Morocco, Fez.
You will explore the cultural city of Morocco. Spend the night in a traditional
Riad.
Day 5: Exploring Fez
This day you will explore the ramparts of Fez, the Merinids’ Tombs, decorated
Attarin Medrasasa (School) and an outstanding museum with its collection of
illuminated manuscripts and ceramics. Lunch will be served in the Medina. Next,
you will discover the fascinating cobbled lanes of the Medina, and the Neijarin
Fountain. View the medieval tannery, the mosques, the Fondouks where the
donkeys/mules and their owners gather, and the infinite variety of merchandise
of handcraft’s and edible goods, copperware and pottery. Stay overnight in Fez.
Day 6: Fez - Desert via the Middle Atlas
This day, you will head to the desert via the Middle Atlas Mountains. You will
have a chance to visit Ifrane, the Swiss mountain town, and the largest cedar
forest in Africa. In Azrou, you will wander among the well-known Moroccan apes
in their natural environment. You cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and the only
tunnel in Morocco. You drive along Ziz valley
tousands of palm trees and high cliffs. Your excursion will take you
deeper south east to the largest desert
in the world, Sahara in which you spend a quiet night in a kasbah in the edge of
the sand dunes Erg Chebbi.
Day 7: Exploring the Desert
In the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, you will enjoy the panoramic scene of black
volcanic rock on the plains, the bright sunny blue sky, the green palm trees, white salt beds,
mirages of water, and fascinating sand dunes. Visit Rissani market, the hugest one in the region. Have a
chance to taste a local pizza. Going to Merzouga and begin camel trekking into the amazing Erg
Chebbi dunes. You will spend the evening in a camp, enjoy a local dinner and music, and sleep in traditional
Nomad camel hair tent.
Day 8:Sahara – Gorges
Wake-up to an amazing sunrise between high golden sand dunes. Enjoy wandering,
sand boarding and breakfast. The camel man will escort you back on camels to
the Hotel Inn to have a shower. Next, have an opportunity to see an African
Diaspora within the African continent itself; then, continue
to Rissani, where you will visit the castles and the Kasbahs of Tafilalt. You
will continue the way to Boumalne Gorges and Todra Gorges. The latter is a
canyon in the eastern part of the High Atlas
Mountains in Morocco, near the town of Tinerhir. Both the Todgha and neighbouring Dades Rivers have carved out cliff-sided canyons on their final 40
kilometres (25 mi) through the mountains. The last 600 metres
(1,969 ft) of the Todgha gorges are the most spectacular. The long valley is lined with palmery and up on the
rocks you may see the Nomad families tending sheep and goats. Probably, you
will see the eagles that nest in the Todra in addition to other amazing birds.
Spend the night in a traditional Kasbah in Boumalne Dades.
Day 9: Gorges - Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, you will head to Ouarzazate. In the way, you will have a
chance to see Nomades who are still leading a simple ordinary life. This berber
lifestyle varies according to each area. Wherever you go, you will explore a
new daily life scene. You will see the Rose valley near which an annual
festival of roses is held. Next, you will have the opportunity to visit the 1000
kasbah town which is situated in a fresh oasis and palm plantation before
reaching Ouarzatate. Later, you will have a chance to visit the Atlas Film
Studio. Stop for lunch and tour the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou
that is located on a hill along Ouarzazate River. This glorious site of
southern Moroccan architecture has been used as a backdrop for hundreds of movies
including The Kingdom of Heaven, The Last Temptation of Christ , Alexander , Prince of Persia. Spend the night in a hotel.
Day 10: Ouarzazate - Imlil
This
day, you will travel over the Tizi n'Tichka Pass while enjoying superb views of
the High Atlas Mountains and of the Berber villages. You will reach the
fabulous Toubkal National Park, nestled below Morocco's highest mountain, Mt.
Toubkal (4,167 meters/13,671 ft). You will continue the way till Imlil. A village in the heart of the Middle
Atlas Mountains. Spend the night in a Berber family lodge in the High Atlas
Mountains.
Day 11: Imlil – Essaouira
After breakfast and discovering the Imlil village, you will head to Essaouira ,
crossing the Argan trees which are climbed by goats. Spend the
night in a traditional riad.
Day 12: Exploring Essaouira
Durning this day, much time will be alloted to sunbathing and relaxing on the
beach of this coastal city. Potuguese,
French and Berber heritage is observed in the oldest part of the city. This city
is famous for windsurfing, woodwork,
handcrafts and delicious fresh fish . Spend the night in a Riad.
Day 13:Exploring Essaouira - Heading to Marrakesh
Since Essaouira is a small city, this day
will have a free morning to explore the port and enjoy a seafood lunch. Then
you will go to an imperial city of the South, the history of which is dated
back to the middle ages, Marrakesh. You will discover a wonderful architecture
and an extraordinary street life that makes it a fascinating worth beiqng seen.
You will have time to investigate the many shops and the narrow alleys in the
Medina. In the evening, it is lively in Djemâa El-Fna Square. Some boys do
fascinating acrobatic exercises. Snake charmers play with snakes. Storytellers
and fortunetellers make it enjoyable to watch a distinguished oral Moroccan
Art. Spend the night in a Riad.
Day 14: Exploring Marrakesh
This day is devoted to exploring Marrakesh. You will visit the Koutoubia
Mosque, the Majorelle Garden, the 16th century Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace,
and the Dar Si Saïd Palace, a museum of jewelry, kaftans, leatherwork, carpets,
chests and doors. Spend the night in a Riad.
Day 15: Transfer to the hotel or the
Airport
Depart Marrakesh to Casablanca for transfer to the airport or to your hotel.
