Amazing South and Imperial Cities 10 Days 9 Nights

Day 1: Casablanca – Marrakesh

Depart Casablanca to Marrakesh. You will have a half day free upon arrival to discover this vibrant city which is known as the “Red City” because of its pink-tinted buildings. Visit the souks, and plunge into the excitement of the place Djemâa El-Fna Square in the heart of Morocco. There you will be delighted by the dancers, snake charmers, jugglers, story tellers, and singers and enjoy a refreshing drink in front of  lots of  workshops. Spend the night in a distinguished Riad.


Day 2: Exploring Marrakesh

After breakfast, you will have a day tour of Marrakech including a horse-drawn carriage ride around the city ramparts and lunch. You will sightsee  Koutoubia Minaret, the Majorelle Gardens, Saadian Graves, the Bahia Palace, and the Dar Si Said Palace museum of jewelry, kaftans, leatherwork, carpets, chests and doors. Spend the night in a Riad.


Day 3: Marrakesh – Ouarzazate via the High Atlas Mountains:

In the morrning, you will head out towards the High Atlas Mountains, visiting Telouet Kasbah. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit the local people and wonderful places they reside, and enjoy lunch at a mountainside restaurant. Later, continue to the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, world wide heritage, going through several small villages and the river of Telouat. Spend the night in a peaceful city called Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Gorges

After breakfast, the next destination is Todra Gorges. In the way you will visit the cinematographic  Atlas Studios. Travel to the impressive oasis of Skoura with the exotic Kasbah Ameridil then head  to El Kelaâ M’Gouna, and have lunch in the Valley of Roses. You will cross the fabulous oasis of thousand kasbahs which are dated back to the 17th century  passing tiny Berber villages like  the one of  Boutgrar, and other nomad Berbers who are sill  living in caves. You will continue further along Dadès Valley and Gorges. Spend the night in a typical Berber guest house Kasbah.

Day 5: Gorges – Sahara Desert


Early morning, you will explore the gorgeous Todra Gorges. Later you will head  to Erfoud, a town famous for fossils and dates then to Rissani. After lunch you will carry on to Sahara in which you will camel trek into the  Erg Chebbi dunes. You will spend the evening in a bivouac (camp), enjoy a Moroccan dinner, and sleep in traditional Nomad camel hair tent.

Day 6: Merzouga – Middle Atlas

Wake-up to an amazing sunrise between high golden sand dunes. Enjoy wandering, boarding and breakfast. The camel man will escort you back on camels to the hotel to shower. Next, have an opportunity to see an African Diaspora within the African continent itself; then,  continue to Rissani, where you will visit the castles and Kasbahs of Tafilalt, stopping in the Tafilalt Palm Grove on the way. You will visit  Moulay Ali Sherif mausoleum ( the Alaouit dynasty  founder) and explore the local traditional market  in Rissani . After, you carry on towards the Middle Atlas . Stay the evening in traditional Kasbah and listen to local music in Midelt.

Day 7: Middle Atlas – Fez
This day, you will have the chance to walk through the largest forest of cedar trees in Africa which is inhabited by apes. Later on, you will visit Ifrane and the well-known Museum of Dar el Batha and the panoramic Kasbah, and spend the night in a Riad in Fez
.
Day 8: Exploring Fez

After waking up in a traditional Riad, you will start your journey in the cultural city of Morocco, Fez. spend the morning discoverying the ramparts of Fez, Merinids graves, the 14th-century Bou Inania Medersa and the excellent museum with its collection of illuminated manuscripts and ceramics. Lunch will be served  in the heart of the  Medina. Next, you will explore the fascinating cobbled lanes of the Medina, and richly decorated Attarin Medrasa, and the Neijarin Fountain ;besides, You will see the medieval tannery, the mosques, the Fondouks where the donkeys and their owners gather, and the infinite variety of merchandise of handcrafts and edible goods to copperware and pottery. Spend the night in a riad in Fez after a long journey of discovery.

Day 9: Fez- Casablanca

You will head after breakfast to  Morocco’s main commercial city,  Casablanca, sightsee Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. Spend the night in a hotel.

Day 10: Transfer to the Airport

Breakfast and transfer to the airport  if required.
